Washcloth of the Month: September

Summer's End

As a reminder each month in 2022 I will be releasing a different washcloth pattern featuring fun design elements to try, as well as colors that represent the mood of the month. These projects check so many boxes:

  • Small & Portable

  • Super interesting! The pattern & colors will change each month

  • Easy way to learn or improve a skill on a small scale like lace or cables

  • Great palette cleanser between larger more complicated patterns or projects

  • Practical & versatile; at the end of the year, you will have 12 or more washcloths that can be used from the bathroom to the kitchen and everywhere in between.

  • They make great gifts!

September Washcloth of the Month: Summer's End

This month I choose to go with a simple stitch pattern that consists of just knit & purl stiches & creates diagonal lines of garter stitches. This stitch provides the perfect amount of texture for a washcloth. The pattern is easy to memorize and know where you need to go next if you have to put it down often, making it perfect for the school pick up line.

I choose a more subdued color palette this month as we transition from the bright colors of summer to the more muted tones of Fall. The yarn this month is a new yarn by Loops & Threads, Capri Eco Cotton. I used colors Rose & Pewter for the samples.
