As a reminder each month in 2022 I will be releasing a different washcloth pattern featuring fun design elements to try, as well as colors that represent the mood of the month.
These projects check so many boxes:
Small & portable
Super interesting! The pattern & colors will change each month
Easy way to learn or improve a skill on a small scale like lace or cables
Great palette cleanser between larger more complicated patterns or projects
Practical & versatile; at the end of the year, you will have 12 or more washcloths that can be used from the bathroom to the kitchen and everywhere in between.
They make great gifts!
April Washcloth: Spring Forward
April is the month of spring cleaning as we start to dust off the cobwebs of a sleepy winter & start to look forward to the promises of a sunny summer ahead. We set our clocks forward for longer days and shorter nights. Spring is the promise of new life, as buds start to appear & the grass starts to turn green.
For this month's pattern I choose an all-time favorite pattern of mine. It's a very simple to make checkerboard pattern. Its easy to memorize and perfect for taking along with you wherver you go.
US 8 (5mm)
12 stitches x 24 rows over 4"
100% worsted weight cotton yarn
The yarn I choose this month is Lily Sugar & Cream in Yellow, Hot Purple & Violet Veil Ombre
This is a tried and true 100% cotton yarn that is easy to find. It is hard wearing and will hold up to lots of cleaning and lots of washes.
The pattern is available for free to all my newsletter subscribers & you can sign up here.
